PEIRA'S RESEARCH EXPEDITION
Mission 2
Explorers,
You have spent your first weeks in the
island and get used to the company of
Digimon. Although the adventure is
going well, the weather conditions in the island are being challenging. Some days,it is too windy to walk easily.
Some other days it's raining too much at night. And the temperature is very high
during the day and quite low at night.
You are tired and not sleeping well
because of all this. Learn about the
elements that are causing you to be
exhausted and take notes in your field
notebook.
Hey! Here are some tools that can help you:
First Task
1. Where is weather produced and what is it?
2. Why is the atmosphere important for us?
What is air composition?
3. Expain which are the layers in the atmosphere and some of their characteristics using visual thinking.
Second Task
4. What are the elements in weather?
5. Complete the chart about weather where you live during 4 days.
6. How could you measure weather in a more accurate way? Create a mind map including the weather elements and the instruments used to measure them.
Third Task
7. What is climate? How is it different from weather?
8. Choose a place in the world and look for information about its climate. Summarize the information in short sentences and add simple drawings.
FINAL TASK
Now that you know a lot of information about the weather, use that information to design a shelter that accomplishes these characteristics:
