Investigate on the internet and write your conclusions in your notebook.

2.    What is the function of villi in the process of digestion? 

Explain the process of intestinal absorption and why we need it.

3.    Is this health issue caused by the virus? If not, what could have caused it?

Check the crime scene and look for clues to answer this question.

4.    Analyze the clue you have found: what nutrients does it have?

What are the nutrients we can find in food? Explain them using drawings.

1.     What parts in the respiratory system do you identify in the picture?

Represent and name all the parts in the respiratory system to help you answer the question.

2.    What is the function of alveoli in the process of respiration? 

Compare and contrast a picture of a healthy lung with the picture you received: what are their similarities and differences?

3.    How can this issue affect the process of respiration?

Explain the process of inspiration and expiration with drawings. Include the gaseous (oxygen and carbon dioxide) exchange that happens.

4.    Is this health issue caused by the virus? If not, what could have caused it?

Check the crime scene and look for clues to answer this question.

5.   How can this health issue be treated?

EXTRA TASK

 

Create a poster (in your iPad or paper) to prevent people from smoking and convince smokers to quit it. Explain what could happen to you if you smoke for a long time and why it is better for your lungs not to smoke.

Don't forget to include a catchy slogan and pictures.
